In 2023 Ireland reinstated the importance of St. Bridgid's Day by granting a day off in her honour. Of course this means the Storytellers go to work! Maria had many stories of St. Brigid from her Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. When she revisted her old Primary School - St Patrick's Primary School - she told the story that Mrs. Waldron had told her 50 years previous! It was about Bríd's first Miracle of the Cloak that she had performed as a young girl on her holidays in Cork. It a pure Corker! Why don't you ask Maria to tell you? 😊🧡✨
